The CATCH was developed on 1 March 2017 and followed by seven (7) CATCH trial runs that were conducted from March - May 2017. The CATCH trial runs were jointly orgainsed by Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), with the purpose to train participants on how to use CATCH, including chemical search, substance registration and mixture classification.
At the same time, feedback forms were distributed to participants in order to obtain feedbacks, comments and suggestions to further enhance CATCH. A total number of 169 participants have attended the CATCH trial runs, where 103 participants from industry, 53 participants from government and 13 participants from university and research institutes. Feedback forms were distributed to participants and analysis shows that 57% of the participants rated CATCH as 'Very Good'; 40% rated CATCH as 'Good' and 3% rated CATCH as 'Average'.
