• The search results, the chemical mixture classification results and/or any outputs derived from the website shall not be considered nor construed as an endorsement by MITI and/or UKM.

• For chemical search by CAS or by name, if search results are available, it will only indicate the name of the regulations/conventions that listed the chemicals. Please contact relevant regulatory agencies for the control of the chemicals. Furthermore, the search results only restricted to the legislations/conventions covered by CATCH website and currently CATCH website only cover 5 legislations and 2 conventions.
• For chemical search by CAS or by name, if no search results are available, it does not imply that the chemical is not being regulated by Malaysia. Please contact relevant regulatory agencies for further information or clarification.
• For chemical search by name, the chemical registered as generic group (such as compound, salt, isomer, derivative, congener etc), precise information on each chemical may, depending on search conditions, not available in the website.
• The CATCH is based on concentration limit and cut-off values stated in ICOP 2014 and GHS Purple Book (6th revised edition). User must take into account available information about the potential occurrence of synergistic effects among the ingredients of the mixture. Lowering classification of a mixture to a less hazardous category on the basis of antagonistic effects may be done only if the determination is supported by sufficient data.h
• Bridging principles are not adopted by CATCH.
• The phrases used in classification results are inline with CLASS 2013, either “Classification not possible” (i.e. insufficient or no data available to classify a substance/mixture) or “Not classified” (i.e. the substance/mixture does not meet the classification criteria).
• Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia (DOSH) has the rights to accept/reject the classification report derived from CATCH.
